Army Recruitment Rally of Sepoy Pharma will be conducted for eligible candidates of Punjab, J&K
and Ladakh UT from 16 September 2021 to 30 September 2021 at New Amritsar Military Station
(NAMS) Khasa Cantonment, Amritsar. Gates will be open at 0400 hrs and will be closed by 0900 hrs
on each day. Online registration is mandatory and will be open from 18 July 2021 to 31 August 2021.
Admit Cards for the rally will be sent through registered e-mail. Candidates should reach the venue on given
date and time as mentioned in the Admit Card.

Physical Measurement (At Rally Site)

Physical measurements will be carried out as per the Physical Standards listed at Para 2 above.

Medical Test

(a) As per laid down medical standards at the Rally Site.
(b) Unfit candidates will be referred to MH/ CH/ BH/ GH for specialist review. Candidates referred for
specialist review should present themselves to the nominated MH/ CH/ BH on 5th day from date of
generation of medical review barring Sunday / Closed Holiday and report back to ARO for issue of Admit
Card for CEE, in case declared FIT.

Written Test through Common Entrance Examination (CEE)

(a) Will be conducted for medically fit candidates at nominated venue. Location, date and time of
written test will be intimated at rally site and through Admit Cards.
(b) Admit Card for the CEE for the rally fit candidates will be issued at Rally Site itself.
(c) Admit Card for the CEE for the review fit cases will be issued by Army Recruiting Office, Amritsar
after getting medically fit by concerned specialist/specialist at MH/CH/BH.

4. Precautionary Anti COVID Measures and Requisite Documents at Rally Site.

(a) All candidates will produce a COVID-19 free / Asymptomatic Certificate and No Risk
Certificate when they report to the rally. Format att as per Appendix „B and „C‟. Asymptomatic
Certificate should have been issued within 48 hrs prior to the rally reporting day.
(b) All candidates will be thermally screened at the rally site. Candidates having temperature /
showing symptoms will be directed to report again on a designated day earmarked by Headquarters
Recruiting Zone, for all such cases. If the candidate is again having symptoms, he will not be allowed
to participate in the rally.
(c) All candidates will carry masks and gloves.
(d) All ground staff will be well equipped/ protected.

(e) Candidates will preferably not travel from any containment Zones.
(f) Candidates are advised to carry adequate personal facemasks, hand gloves, hand
Sanitizer and water bottle for the rally.

(g) Candidates having any symptoms related to COVID-19 are advised not to move from his
home station.
(h) Candidate will be returned back if symptoms like fever, cold, cough & running nose are
detected at the rally site.

(j) DO‟s and DON‟Ts while in recruitment rally: –

) Wear mask at all the time and before putting on mask, clean with soap and water.
Replace mask with a new one as soon as it is damp and do not re-use single use mask.
(ii) Regularly and thoroughly clean your hands with soap and water during verification of
documents and prior to appearing for the tests. The same will be available at site.
(iii) Maintain social distancing as per government orders amongst each other. Don’t touch
your body parts on any surface unnecessarily.
(iv) Maintain good respiratory hygiene i.e. cover your mouth and nose with tissue paper
during cough or sneeze. Then dispose-off the used tissue immediately in the covered dustbin
and wash your hand with soap and water.
(v) Inform and seek immediate medical attention in case of fever, cough and difficulty in
breathing.

(k) COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate . All the candidates attending the rally who have been
vaccinated of all doses of COVID-19 Vaccine and should get golden card/concerned
documents/certificate “It is certified that Mr _______________ S/o ___________________ has
been vaccinated with all doses of COVID-19 vaccine on date ____ 2021” duly signed by the
Doctor of Government Hospital.

5. Candidates are required to bring following documents/certificates in original with two attested
photocopies with them to the rally site

(a) Admit Card. Printed on Laser Printer on good quality paper (Do not shrink the size).

(b) Photograph. Twenty copies of unattested Passport size colour photographs developed on
good quality photographic paper in white background not more than three months old.
Computerised/photo shopped photographs will NOT be accepted. Sikh candidates should bring 20
photographs with turban and 20 Photographs without turban.

(c) Education Certificates, . Education Certificates with marks sheet in original of all educational
qualifications achieved by candidates i.e Matric/Intermediate/Graduation etc from recognised
School/College/Board/University. Degree holder candidate will produce Provisional/Original Degree
issued by University.

(d) Domicile Certificate.omicile Certificate with photograph issued by Tehsildar/District
Magistrate.

(e) Caste Certificate. Caste Certificate affixed with photograph of the candidate issued by the
Tehsildar/District Magistrate.

(f) Religion Certificate. Religion Certificate issued by the Tehsildar/SDM. (If religion as
“SIKH/HINDU/MUSLIM/CHRISTIAN” is not mentioned in caste certificate).

(g) School Character Certificate. School Character Certificate issued by the School/College
Principal/Headmaster.

(h) Character Certificate. Character Certificate with photograph issued by under mentioned
authority within last six months:-
(i) Village Sarpanch.
(ii) Superintendent of Police.

(j) Unmarried Certificate. Unmarried Certificate for candidates less than 21 years of age with
photograph issued by Village Sarpanch/Municipal Corporation within last six months.
(k) Relationship Certificate. Son of Servicemen/Son of Ex Servicemen/Son of Widow/ Son of
War Widow Candidates are required to produce the following documents:-
(i) Relationship certificate issued from respective Record Office only duly signed by
Record Officer with Personal number, Rank, Name and particular of the Record Officer issuing
the Relationship Certificate with office seal/stamp is endorsed. In addition the candidate will
also submit an affidavit duly affixed with joint photograph stating the relationship affirmed
before a 1st Class Executive Magistrate or Notary. Format of affidavit is attached as per
Appendix „D‟.
(ii) A declaration to the affect as mentioned in Affidavit on Ten Rupees Non-Judicial
Stamp paper prepared by the ESM duly signed by 1
st class/Executive/Judicial Magistrate is
required to be submitted by the candidate at rally site. Format of affidavit is attached as per
Appendix „E‟.
(iii) Original Discharge Book of Ex-Serviceman also to be produced. Name and date of
birth of the candidate must have been recorded in it.
(l) NCC Certificate. NCC A/B/C certificates and Republic Day Parade certificate should have
photograph of the candidate duly attested by issuing authority. Provisional NCC A/B/C pass
certificates will only be accepted if authenticated by concerned NCC Group Commanders.
However, the candidate also has to produce the original certificate well before CEE (Common
Entrance Exam) to enable verification of the original certificate.
(m) Affidavit. Duly signed by candidate on Rs 10/- Non-judicial Stamp Paper as per specimen
duly attested by notary will be submitted by candidate. Format of affidavit is attached as per
Appendix „E‟.

(n) Single Bank A/C, PAN Card & AADHAR Card

Single Bank A/C, PAN Card & Aadhar Card
are mandatory documents for final enrolment for purpose of Pay & allowances and other social
benefit schemes.

6. Special Instructions.

(a) Full postal address to include post office, police station and pin code and class/caste to be
mentioned in the affidavit.
(b) Individual must bring their AADHAR Card and PAN Card for recruitment rally.
(c) All candidates are required to carry Affidavits as per Appendix D & E respectively. Candidates
not having the required Affidavit will not be allowed to appear in the Recruitment Rally.

(d) No mobiles are permitted at the rally site.

Important Instructions.

Administration. Candidates are advised to bring sufficient eatables and drinking water with them
since recruitment is a time consuming process.

8. Candidates will be permitted entry into the rally site only on production of Admit Card in
duplicate generated online through the official website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. Anyone found
with fake admit card will be handed over to Civil Police.
9. Recruitment into the army is a free service. Candidates are advised not to pay bribe to anyone
for recruitment as it is based purely on merit. Selection process during recruitment at all stages is
computerised and transparent. Therefore, candidates are advised to be beware of touts as they
cannot help them at any stage.

10. Candidates are advised to check their age & education criteria before participating in the rally.
Candidates found under age/overage and not meeting education criteria will be disqualified.
11. Giving/taking bribe, production of bogus/fake certificates and indulging in unfair means is a criminal
offence and liable for punishment under law.
12. Certificates with overwriting, tampering of seals or erasing/alteration of any type will not be accepted.
13. All documents submitted by the candidates are verified by government agencies before enrolment
into Army. Strong legal action will be taken against individuals submitting fake documents. Even after
recruitment, the service will be terminated if candidates are found to have produced fake documents or gave
wrong information at the time of recruitment, despite the number of years of service individual may have
rendered.
14. No compensation for Death/injury/loss etc during the rally and no travelling allowance/dearness
allowance for journey is admissible. Candidates will participate in the rally at their own risk and the
participation is totally and entirely voluntary.

15. Use of Performance Enhancing Drugs. Use of any kind of performance enhancing drugs is strictly
banned. Candidates having been found to have used the same will be debarred from further screening.

16. Tattoo. Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on inner face of forearms i.e From inside
of elbow to the wrist and on the reverse side of palm/back (dorsal) side of hand. Permanent body
tattoos on any other part of the body are not acceptable and candidates will be barred from further
selection.

17. If 180 days or more lapse between screening medical at the rally and despatch, medical will be done
again and unfit candidates in this review will not be recruited.
18. Selection is provisional till Rahdari Certificate is issued and candidates are despatched for training.
19. Mobile phones are not permitted at the rally site.
20. Candidates are advised in their own interest to undergo medical exam before coming for selection
especially with respect to flat foot, poor vision, deformities and physical measurements. All are advised to
ensure that their ears are free of wax by getting it cleaned by a doctor prior to the rally.
21. Candidates may have to present themselves at rally site for three to four days. Candidates should
make arrangements for stay under their own arrangements.

22. Negative marking would be applicable in Common Entrance Exam (CEE).
23. Result of written examination will be declared on the official website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. No
separate letter will be sent to the candidate. It is responsibility of candidate to check his result and report to
ARO for documentation.

Short Service Commission Technical

1. Applications are invited from eligible unmarried Male and unmarried Female Engineering
Graduates and also from Widows of Defence Personnel who died in harness for grant of Short
Service Commission (SSC) in the Indian Army. Course will commence in Apr 2022 at Officers
Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

(a) Nationality. A candidate must either be :- (i) a citizen of India, or (ii) a subject of
Nepal, or (iii) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka
and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia,
Malawi, Zaire and Ethopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India,
provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii) and (iii) above shall be a person in
whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by Government of India. Certificate
of eligibility will however not be necessary in the case of candidates who are Gorkha
subjects of Nepal. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary, will
attach such certificate alongwith the application.

(b) Age Limit
(i) For SSC(Tech)- 58 Men and SSCW(Tech)- 29 Women. 20 to 27 years as
on 01 Apr 2022 (Candidates born between 02 Apr 95 and 01 Apr 2002, both days
inclusive).

(ii) For widows of Defence Personnel who Died in Harness Only

SSCW (Non Tech) [Non UPSC] and SSCW(Tech) – A maximum of 35 years of age
as on 01 Apr 2022.

Note. The date of birth recorded in the Matriculation/ Secondary School Examination
Certificate or an equivalent examination certificate on the date of submission of
application will only be accepted. No other document relating to age will be accepted
and no subsequent request for its change will be considered or granted.

(c) Educational Qualification for Applying. g. Candidates who have passed the requisite
Engineering Degree course or are in the final year of Engineering Degree course are eligible
to apply. Candidates studying in the final year of Engg degree course should be able to
submit proof of passing Engg Degree Examination alongwith marksheets of all
semesters/years by 01 Apr 2022 and produce the Engg Degree Certificate within 12 weeks
from the date of commencement of training at Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai,
Tamil Nadu. Such candidates will be inducted on Additional Bond Basis for recovery of
the cost of training at Officers Training Academy (OTA) as notified from time to time as
well as stipend and pay & allowances paid, in case they fail to produce the requisite degree certificate.

Note: ALL FINAL YEAR APPEARING CANDIDATES WHOSE FINAL YEAR/FINAL
SEMESTER EXAM WILL BE SCHEDULED AFTER 01 APR 2022 ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO
APPLY FOR THIS COURSE.
Note-1. For induction to Pre Commission Training Academy, after final selection,
the minimum educational qualification is passing BE/B.Tech degree in the
Engineering streams notified below at Para 3. To become eligible for induction into
SSC(Tech)-58(Men) Course and SSC(Tech)-29 (Women) Course at Officers Training
Academy (OTA), Chennai, Tamil Nadu, candidates studying in final year of
engineering are required to submit proof of passing Engg Degree Examination
alongwith marksheets of all semesters/years by 01 Apr 2022 to Directorate General of
Recruiting and ensure that the cumulative percentage of marks upto final semester/
year is not less than the approved cut off percentage, failing which the candidature
will be cancelled.

Note-2. Final semester/year studying candidates will be provisionally allowed to
appear in SSB; subject to following conditions:- (a) Their cumulative percentage of
marks upto 6th semester/3rd year of Engg degree, upto 8th semester/4th year of
B. Architecture (B. Arch) and upto 2nd semester/1st year of M.Sc in notified
equivalent stream/ discipline is not below the approved cut off percentage in their
respective streams. (b) After declaration of final results, the cumulative percentage of
marks upto final semester/ year of degree course will also be not less than the
approved cut off percentage, failing which the candidature will be cancelled.
Note-3. Candidates studying in final semester/ year of Engg degree course should
not have any backlog at the time of submission of application. Any candidate if found
having backlog will not be allowed to appear in SSB interview and candidature of
such candidates will be cancelled.
Note-4. Candidates, who have yet to pass their degree examination will be eligible
only if they are studying in the final year of degree examination. Those candidates
who have yet to qualify in the final year Degree Examination and are allowed to
appear for SSB, should note that this is only a special concession given to them.
They are required to submit proof of passing Engg Degree Examination alongwith all
marksheets towards the Engg Degree Examination by the above prescribed date and
no request for extending this date will be entertained on the grounds of late conduct
of basic qualifying University Examination, delay in declaration of results or any
other grounds whatsoever.

(d) Educational Qualification for Widows of Defence Personnel who Died in Harness

SSCW (Non Tech) (Non UPSC).                                                                               Graduation in any Discipline.

        (ii) SSCW (Tech).                                                                                       B.E. / B. Tech in any Engineering stream.

Note. Candidate studying in final year of Degree must ensure that she submits the
proof of passing Degree exam by 01 Apr 2022 to Directorate General of Recruiting,
failing which her candidature will be cancelled.

3. Vacancies. Candidates must note that only the Engineering streams and their acceptable
equivalent streams, strictly as notified in the table below, will be accepted. Candidates with degrees
in any other engineering stream(s) are not eligible to apply. Any variation between the
nomenclature of Engineering stream as given on the degree parchment / marksheet and that
submitted by the candidate in his online application will result in cancellation of
candidature.

SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION (NT) COURSE FOR LAW GRADUATES (MEN AND WOMEN)

1. Applications are invited from unmarried male and unmarried female LAW
GRADUATES for grant of Short Service Commission in the Indian Army for Judge
Advocate General Branch.

SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION

2. Eligibility 

(a) Nationality. A candidate must either be: (i) A citizen of India, or (ii) A subject
of Nepal, (iii) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri
Lanka and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania,
Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently
settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii) and (iii) above
shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the
Government of India. Certificate of eligibility will, however, not be necessary in the
case of candidates who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal.

(b) Age Limit. 21 to 27 years as on 01 Jan 2022 (Born not earlier than
02 Jan 1995 and not later than 01 Jan 2001; both dates inclusive).
Note. Candidates should note that the date of birth as recorded in the
Matriculation/Secondary School Examination Certificate or an equivalent
certificate on the date of submission of applications will only be accepted and
no subsequent request for its change will be considered or granted.

(c) Educational Qualification. Minimum 55% aggregate marks in LLB
Degree (three years professional after graduation or five years after 10+2
examination). The candidates should be eligible for registration as an
advocate with Bar Council of India/State. Candidate should be from a
College/University recognized by Bar Council of India.

3. Vacancies. Men -05, Women – 02. 

4. Terms and Conditions of Service

(a) Tenure of Engagement. Short Service Commission will be granted to Male
and Female in the regular Army for 14 years i.e. for an initial period of 10 years
extendable by a further period of 04 years. Male & Female officers who are willing to
continue to serve in the Army after the expiry of period of ten years of Short Service
Commission may, if eligible and suitable in all respects, be considered for the grant
of Permanent Commission (PC) in the 10th year of their Short Service Commission in
accordance with the relevant policies as issued from time to time. Those SSC
officers (Male & Female) who are not selected for grant of PC but are otherwise
considered fit and suitable, will be given options to continue as SSCOs for a total
period of 14 years (including the initial tenure of 10 years) on expiry of which they will
be released from the Army

(b) Period of Probation An officer will be on probation for a period of 6 months
from the date he/she receives his/her commission. If he/she is reported on within the
probationary period as unsuitable to retain his/her commission, his/her services may
be terminated any time whether before or after the expiry of the probationary period.

(c) Ante Date Seniority.  No ante date seniority will be granted.

(d) Termination of Commission. An officer granted Short Service Commission
will be liable to serve for ten years but his/her Commission may be terminated at any
time by the Government of India for:-

(i) Misconduct or if his/her services are found to be unsatisfactory, or
(ii) On account of when found medically unfit, or
(iii) If his/her services are no longer required, or
(iv) If he/she fails to qualify in any prescribed test or course.
(v) An officer may on giving 03 months notice be permitted to resign his/her
commission on compassionate grounds of which the Government of India will
be the sole judge. An officer who is permitted to resign his/her commission on
compassionate grounds will not be eligible for terminal gratuity.

(e) Reserve Liability. Short Service Commission Officers on release before or
expiry of contractual length of service will carry reserve liability to serve the Army for
five years plus two years on voluntary basis or up to the age of 37 years for women
and 40 years for men whichever is earlier.

5. Training. Duration of training is 49 weeks at OTA, Chennai.

(a) Selected candidates will be detailed for Pre-Commission training at OTA,
Chennai according to their position in the final order of merit, up to the number of
available vacancies, subject to meeting all eligibility criteria.
(b) Candidates will neither be allowed to marry during the period of training nor will
he/she be allowed to live with parents/Guardians. Candidates must not marry until
they complete the full training at the Officers Training Academy. A candidate, who
marries subsequent to the date of his/her application, though successful at the
Services Selection Board interview and medical examination, will not be eligible for
training. A candidate if he/she marries, while under training, shall be discharged and
will be liable to refund all expenditure incurred on him/her by the government.

(c) All candidates who successfully complete Pre-Commission training at Officers
Training Academy, Chennai will be awarded ‘Post Graduate Diploma in Defence
Management and Strategic Studies’ by University of Madras.

(d) Cost of Training. The entire cost of training at OTA is at Government
expense. In case the Lady/Gentleman cadet is withdrawn from training academy due
to reasons other than medical ground or the reasons not beyond his/her control,
he/she will be liable to refund cost of training @ ₹ 12,908/- per week till 30 Jun 2021,
thereafter a yearly escalation of 8% p.a. will be calculated on the Per Capita
Cost of Training for each ensuing year (or as notified from time to time) apart from
allied charges as fixed by the government from time to time, for the period of his/her
stay at OTA, Chennai.

6. The final allocation of Arms/Services will be made prior to passing out of gentleman
cadets/Lady cadets from OTA.

(d) Fixed Stipend for Cadet Training

duration of training in Service academies i.e. during
training period at OTA.

*On successful commissioning, the pay in the Pay Matrix of the Officer Commissioned
shall be fixed in first Cell of Level 10. The period of training shall not be treated as
commissioned service. Arrears on account of admissible allowances, as applicable,

Terms and Conditions of Service

Since past few weeks, inputs related to extortion activities of Limtu
Kelym Mossang SS PVT of NSCN/R (Later defected to ENNG) were
being received from various CRPF intelligence sources in the general
area of Miao sub-urban area & nearby Khachang & Songking area,
District Changlang, Arunachal Pradesh. Based on the inputs, close
surveillance was being kept by the troops of 171 Battalion CRPF and
Changlang police. Various counter insurgency joint operations were
also conducted vigorously by the CRPF and Police. Due to sustained
operations and continuous pressure of CRPF, its field intelligence
team, and the state Police, on 26/08/21 Miao Limtu Mossang S/O
Chanlon Mossang surrendered at Miao PS in the presence of troops
of 171 Bn CRPF, District Police Changlang (ACP) and troops of Rajput
